Legal Fee Review

Sign a percentage based legal fee agreement with us and you can have our final legal fee reviewed by an independent legal expert provided and paid by the government.  If the legal fee is deemed too high for the work done and the result we obtain for you, it will be reduced, up to 90 days after you have paid it.  Guaranteed.

That is real protection for you!

Keep this in mind before you enter a legal fee agreement with a lawyer who advertises the “lowest” percentage legal fee but won’t meet you face to face at your first appointment.  Changing your lawyer may be difficult if you are not impressed after you finally do meet and talk for the first time.  A new lawyer may be required to share the legal fee with the first lawyer and you may even find new lawyers won’t be interested in taking over your case.  It may not make economic sense for you to change.  You could be stuck.

We put your right to have our legal fee reviewed in writing, right in your legal fee agreement.  And we explain how it works face to face at our first meeting.  In fact, we have always done it this way since we began representing ICBC injury victims almost 20 years ago.  In all that time, we are very proud that not one of our clients has asked for an independent review of our legal fee.  We are committed to getting the best results for our clients all at a reasonable legal fee.

If you are satisfied with the performance of your current lawyer but are concerned that you have been overcharged, it may not be too late to do something about it. You have options to resolve a dispute about your legal fee.
